Scion FR-S Paint Correction & Cquartz Finest Automotive Paint Coating

We get lots of calls and inquiries about our paint correction process and our Nano automotive paint coating. So i documented some of this detail to share. In this process its best to note that removing the paint defects is suggested for optimal results when having a coating of any kind applied to your vehicle.
what we have here is a 2013 Scion FR-S in Raven Black. At first the car just appeared to be a little dirty covered with dust & paw prints from a neighboring cat.
So i went ahead and washed the vehicle and pulled it back in the shop. At this time the polishing process started. Were going for a swirl free finish to maximize the depth, gloss and make that flake in this FR-S pop. I decided to tape a line so we can see a 50/50 shot of how well the polishing is removing the defects which can be seen below.
So we can easily see the defects are being removed after the initial polishing step, so after finishing the whole hood we now have a defect free finish ready for finish polishing, as we move on to the doors there are more defects that need to be removed and these are worse than what what was on the hood.
These scratches seen here are usually a result of poor washing or drying techniques. Also you can get these from going to those local car washes that you usually get a free membership to or by some one scrubbing the paint with a brush at a local coin op. So we moved on and started polishing . And as you can see there are more on the fenders.
So after some testing of different polishes and pads we came up with the right combo to remove these swirls and now were left with a defect free finish & the finish polishing brought out the depth in this Raven Black FR-S
Once the finish polishing was done we went over the entire vehicle with Cquartz Eraser an intense cleaner designed to dissolve oil particles and remove polish residue to prepare the paintwork for Cquartz.
Before we get started coating the customer brought to my attention that someone tried to sand and polish his headlights & ended up doing more damage to the lens.
after poishing out the scratches we have a nice looking headlight.
And here’s the Cquartz glass coating. After 8 hours of polishing paint and repairing the headlights we can now apply the coating.
