Technological Marvel Receives Some Repairs To Its Paint Protection Force Field

Wikipedia defines a force field as a barrier made up of energy, plasma or particles to protect a person, area or object from attacks or intrusions. Well, this awesome R8 was in need of some force field repairs as a result of the previous paint protection film and window tint installation by another company not being up to snuff. After a discussion with the owner, we decided to treat this beautiful car to the works. We planned to remove the sub-par paint protection film and window tint first. After that we would do a paint correction to get the finish near flawless. Then we would install our signature paint protection film to the full hood, fenders and rocker panels. We would then complete a full window tint using a high tech ceramic window film designed to not only look great, but also block a ton of heat. Finally, we would apply a professional grade ceramic paint coating to all exterior painted surfaces including the wheels and brake calipers. That is a ton of work, so let’s get started!
First, we always start these projects with a deep cleaning foam decontamination bath. This removes any loose exterior contaminants from the surface of the vehicle so that we can inspect the surface under our lighting system.
This next picture shows you the micro-scratching and damage in the painted surfaces visible under our lighting system. These blemishes are keeping the vehicle from looking as good as it can.

After we get the paint properly corrected, we move onto our signature paint protection film installation. We take extra care to install these films in such a way that hides the edges so the finished product is nearly impossible to even detect.
It is always satisfying to complete a job like this and stand back to appreciate just how great this car looks.
