Cadillac CTS-V Gets a Facelift from Jay’s Detail Studio San Antonio

The Cadillac CTS-V is one versatile automobile. This car can carry four adults in comfort and also do a pretty convincing job of being a sports car when the situation warrants it. This one was showing its age a little bit, so the owner brought it to Jay’s Detail Studio San Antonio to get a facelift that included a paint correction, paint coating and ceramic window tint.
The first thing many of our jobs start with is a full decontamination bath. This soaking wash will remove contaminants from the pain surfaces and prepare the vehicle finish to be analyzed to determine how much correction needs to be performed.
The CTS-V also had an engine bay that needed some attention, so we took the detail work under the hood also. Wait till you see the after pic below!
Before we get started with the paint correction, we remove the old emblems so that we can correct the paint completely. The emblem will be replaced after the correction is complete.
As we move onto the paint correction, we utilize a variety of equipment, solutions and techniques to bring back the finish that made you fall in love with the car in the first place. The left side of the pic below is corrected and the right side has not been corrected yet.
We even pay attention to the exhaust tips. This was what they looked like when the car arrived.
After the paint correction, we coated all painted surfaces, wheels and brake calipers with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Black. This innovative ceramic paint coating will protect the painted surfaces from micro scratching and surface damage from environmental elements like bird droppings, acid rain, tree sap, road tar, etc. It also will make keeping this vehicle clean much easier as well as dirt will not adhere as easily to the vehicle surfaces.

Check out the depth and gloss in the finish now that the paint has been corrected and coated. This makes the metallic paint really pop.
We finalized this project with a ceramic window tint. This film not only gives you the tinted look you want, it reduces the interior heat and glare while protecting the interior surfaces and the occupants from the sun’s dangerous UV rays.
