Ford F150 Limited Protected With SunTek PPF & Cquartz Coating

Trucks carry an interesting dynamic. While we want them to be tough, rugged and ready to take on whatever task we have in mind, the newer trucks are also packed with luxury options usually reserved for a brands high end offerings. Such is the case with the Ford F150 Limited. It is certainly a capable truck, but it also looks great and has all the luxury you could want in a vehicle. The owner of this beautiful unit wanted to keep it looking great, so they brought it to us to receive some SunTek PPF and Cquartz ceramic paint coating. Follow us along as we get to work on this truck.

First step is always to decontaminate the surface of the truck with a decontamination foam bath. This helps remove any surface contaminants before we begin installing the paint protection film and ceramic paint coating.

Once the decontamination is complete, we can begin installing the paint protection film. Here you can see we are also covering the headlights to protect the lenses from damage as well.

You will notice that in this picture we have removed the hood emblems in order to give the truck a cleaner, more seamless installation. This makes the installation a little more difficult and time consuming, but the end result of not having cut-outs for each letter make it worth it. After installation, we reinstall the emblems in their factory location.

We combined standard SunTek Ultra PPF with the thicker Ultra Defense on the lower rocker panels and B-pillars to give these areas some added protection. This film is 11.5 mils thick where standard ppf is 8 mils. This additional thickness in these vulnerable areas give them increased impact protection.

Once the ppf installation was complete, we coated the vehicle’s painted surfaces with CQuartz Professional ceramic paint coating. CQuartz Professional protects the gloss and depth of your vehicle finish and actually enhances it! Once cured, CQuartz Professional forms a dense, durable coating that protects the paint for years to come! Here are just some of the features of this innovative coating.
