Chevrolet C6 Corvette Grand Sport Receives A Paint Refinish Before Sale

The C6 Corvette was a big turning point in many people’s minds. It represents a generation when the Corvette became a world-class performance car. The best part is that this generation has entered the point where it represents a really solid value on the used car market. It may even begin to increase in value. Hagerty recently said that “The C6 Corvette is on the brink of becoming a collector car”. The owner of this Convertible Grand Sport was preparing to sell the car and brought it to us to get a paint refinish, gloss enhancement and window tint followed by a general clean up.

With the stunning read paint, we really wanted to make sure that the finish put its best foot forward. We start this entire process with a foam decontamination bath. This step removes all contaminants and any products that may be on the surface of the paint. This allows us to see precisely what needs to be done to make this finish look as good as possible.

After the bath, we installed some 3M Window Tint to give the car a nice clean look. You may have noticed that nearly all car advertisements feature vehicles with window tint. One reason is that it pulls the overall design together and makes the car just look a little better and accentuates the lines instead of your eye being drawn through the windows and into the interior.

Now, we move into the paint refinish. We use our signature techniques to make this red paint really pop with our gloss enhancement. We followed this with a liberal application of our paste wax. To complete the project, we did a general cleanup through the vehicle. The final results brought this car back to every bit of how great it looked when it was brand new.
