Tesla Model 3 Receives New Car Protection Package at Jay’s Detail Studio

Now that the Tesla Model 3 is being delivered regularly, we have had a chance to work on a large number of them. One of the things that we noticed on these vehicles in the relatively poor condition of the paint on delivery to the new owner. We are not sure if these are leaving the factory this way or they are being damaged in transit or by the dealer, but the paint finish quality is not befitting of a car that is perfect in so many other ways.

When this one arrived, we did an inspection and consulted wit the owner about the desired end result they wanted to achieve. They wanted to get the finish up to the level that it should be and then apply protection to keep it looking great for many years to come. We knew that our New Car Protection Package was just what they were looking for. This package is a favorite of Jay’s clients because it makes their vehicle stand out from the crowd and protects the paint so that the finish remains stunning for years.

The first step is to get rid of the blemishes in the paint. You can see from the before and after pictures below just how bad the condition was when the car arrived and how flawless it was when we finished the paint correction step.

Once we finished fully correcting the surface, it was time to move on to a front-end paint protection installation. For this vehicle, we utilizes a full coverage pre-cut kit with wrapped edges to hide as many edges as possible.

For the hood we did a custom install using bulk material so that we could get full coverage and hide all edges.

With the front bumper having so much exposed paint, it is imperative to get full coverage across the surface.

Once the paint protection is complete, we then move on to the window tinting. We don’t just want to use any cheap window tint on a car as packed with technology as this one. Some less expensive window films can even cause interference with electronics. To give this owner the look and performance they wanted without risk of any interference issues we used SunTek CIR Ceramic Window Film.

Once the window tinting was complete, we then did a complete ceramic paint coating of this vehicle with one of our professional grade coatings. Check out the pictures below of the final results after the ceramic coating cured.

That being said, it doesn’t matter what we think. Out goal is for complete customer satisfaction. This is the review this owner just left us.
