Kia Telluride Gets New Vehicle Protection and 3M Ceramic Window Tint

Everyone we talk to agrees that the new Kia Telluride certainly turns heads. Kia has seriously upped their game and you are left asking “This is a Kia?”. Well, the owner of this beauty wanted to maintain those head turning looks for many years into the future. He brought it in to have our signature new vehicle protection package and 3M Ceramic Window Tint installed. In this article, we will walk you through that process step by step and you will be able to see what makes the work at Jay’s Detail Studio a cut above the rest.

The very first thing we do is give the vehicle a foam decontamination bath. This removes any loose dirt or contaminants to enable us to see what condition the underlying paint is in.

After the decontamination bath, we inspect the vehicle under special lighting to see where there may be flaws in the paint that need to be corrected. As you can see below, this car has micro-scratching and haziness that needed to be addessed.

Below is that same panel after correction. See how the scratches and haziness have disappeared and are replaced with a deep, clear shine.

Once the paint is all corrected, we move on to the areas the client wants paint protection film. Here we utilize SunTek paint protection to cover the complete front bumper and headlights.

This owner wanted heat rejection on not just the vehicle windows, but also on the windshield. As a result, we installed a 3M Crystalline 90% film. This film in basically undetectable on the glass other than the fact that it will reduce the heat coming through the windshield. We followed this with 3M Ceramic Window Tint on the other windows of the vehicle.

Following the window tinting, we applied GlassParency Glass Protection. You may have tried Rain X or other similar products in the past. GlassParency creates a bond with the glass such that the water repellency lasts much longer that other surface based applications. This will have the owner seeing clearly even on the rainiest of days.

We finished off the vehicle with a full ceramic paint coating. These coatings are designed to protect the vehicle finish from damage caused by industrial and environmental contaminants. The dirt or contaminant has a hard time adhering to the vehicle surface and is typically very east to remove. Most people find that there vehicle is not only protected, but much easier to keep clean once the ceramic coating is installed.

Now, our favorite part. The reveal of the finished vehicle. This Telluride is sure to be turning heads for many years into the future!
